Gli indios in Brasile vivono in riserve. 
La città ricorda in ogni angolo il suo celebre cittadino Jorge Amado, autore di decine di romanzi che hanno descritto la città con i suoi personaggi, i suoi fasti e la sua decadenza.
Primo tra tutti Gabriela, cravo e canela (Gabriella garofano e cannella).
Ma qui non voglio parlarvi di Jorge Amado bensì di un aneddoto che circonda la chiesa Nossa Senhora da Piedade, de São Jorge e de São Sebastião, il bar Vesuvio e il bordello Bataclã.
